General Education Courses
All of CASC’s general education required courses are offered online. These are entry-level, accessible courses that also have a high-transfer rate to other institutions. The courses are listed below:

*Some labs are completely online, but some require either attendance on campus for the lab, or mailing assignments, etc. to complete the requirements. Make sure the course and lab you choose fits with your needs. Contact the Coordinator for the Virtual Campus if you have questions.

AA General Studies

Program Description

An AA degree in General Studies offers flexibility and a broad range of career options. Graduates can find employment in various fields such as administrative support, retail, or customer service. Additionally, this degree can serve as a foundation for further studies in diverse areas, including social sciences, humanities, or business, depending on the student’s interests.

AA Health, Physical Science, and Recreation

Program Description

Students who earn an AA degree in Health, Physical Science, and Recreation can pursue careers as coaches, fitness trainers, wellness coordinators, or recreation program directors. This degree can also serve as a pathway to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a bachelor’s degree in fields such as exercise science, health education, or recreation management.

AA Criminal Justice

Program Description

Graduates with an AA degree in Criminal Justice can explore opportunities in law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, or private security firms. They may work as police officers, probation officers, or security guards. This degree can also be a stepping stone for those interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related fields.

AA Business Administration

Program Description

A student with an AA degree in Business Administration from Carl Albert State College can pursue entry-level positions in various business settings and industries. Graduates will be exposed to skills to build a solid foundation to increase earning potential and enter the workforce sooner. They may also choose to transfer to a four-year institution to further their studies in business and specialize in areas like accounting, marketing, finance, or management.

AA Child Development

Program Description

An AA degree in Child Development equips students to work in early childhood education settings. Graduates can become preschool teachers, daycare center administrators, or child care providers. They may also choose to transfer to a four-year college to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education or related fields and become elementary school teachers or child psychologists.

AA History, Political Science, and Pre-Law

Program Description

An AA degree in History, Political Science, and Pre-Law can open doors to various career paths, including positions in government, public policy, or education. Graduates may find work in museums, libraries, schools, or as legislative aids. They can also continue their education by transferring to a four-year college and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in history, political science, or pre-law.

AA Sociology and Psychology

Program Description

AAS Child Development

Certificate in Child Development Infant Toddler
